Serene Green Transitional Master Bathroom
A transitional master bath in a soft green palette, rebuilt from the studs with a walk-in shower and a double vanity.
The ambition was a room that felt like a spa rather than a bathroom with a nice tub in it, and that distinction comes down to detail rather than fixtures.
Tile was run full height to remove the horizontal break that makes a bathroom read as a utility room. The freestanding tub was positioned for the light rather than centred out of habit. The shower was built curbless, which means getting the framing, slope and drainage right underneath before any tile is set.
Lighting was layered so the room works at both ends of the day, and ventilation was sized properly, because steam is what eventually ruins rooms like this.
